Bearcats sweep Avalanche


The CBC men's volleyball team played consistent ball in both their games this weekend against the College of the Rockies Avalanche.

Playing in their final regular season games, CBC defeated the Avalanche 3-0 on Friday by scores 25-17, 25-20, 25-15.  Steve Berkenpas led the team with 14 kills.  Both Berkenpas and Evan Schmidt had 11 kills on Saturday's 3-0 win by scores 25-19, 25-10, 25-20.  The loss drops the Avalanche to 0-15.

The 'Cats (9-7) have won three straight games and will finish in fourth place in league standings.  They will take on the host Camosun Chargers in the BCCAA Provincials quarter-finals on February 25.
