Online Databases
Citation Software - Free
Zotero
- helps you collect, manage, and cite your research sources. It captures citations from library catalogues and journal
databases and automatically creates the Works Cited List for you, including MLA, APA, and many other styles. This program is installed on all
library
computers. It's a free program which you can install on your computer if you use Mozilla Firefox
Citation Machines
A
"citation machine" automatically provides
APA, MLA, CSE or other formatting for your bibliography and footnote
citations. Just type the key information in the blanks provided. Here
are links to citation machines. The machines do not create the Works Cited List.
Warning
The
citations produced by citation machines or Zotero may not meet the standard
expected by your instructors. Always check these citations with your
instructor (or with citation examples provided by your instructor) to
make sure they are acceptable.
